Project Manager
£365 - £500 per day
Morson are currently supporting the recruitment of a project manager in Crawley for one of our established commercial aerospace clients. Responsible for in service support of inflight entertainment equipment, you will manage the repairs and spares process, supporting repair contracts. A background in customer support or customer contracts will be key but we’re ideally looking for someone with experience of managing repair and replacement projects within the engineering industry.
As a delivery focused project manager you would be working in a matrix organisation, focusing on enhancing customer experience and following established processes where possible. The role is being offered on an initial 6-month contract, with possibility of extension. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of 3 days a week on site in Crawley. We can offer a rate of £365.68 per day PAYE or £500 per day Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Manage the in-service support of commercial inflight entertainment equipment.
- Manage the contracts between the client and customer organisations.
- Management a cross functional team in a matrix organisation.
- Managing internal and external stakeholders, in particular customer relationships.
- Forecast costs and budgeting requirements.
- Internal and external reporting activities.
- Ensuring robust Project Controls are deployed and effective.
- Liaison with contributing functions to drive quality, cost & delivery performance.
Requirements
- Experience of managing delivery projects within the engineering industry.
- A proven track record of delivering successful projects with a commercial customer.
- Experience of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Able to manage customer and supplier relationships, ideally within the Aerospace and Defence industry.
- Leading the process of structuring and planning complex projects and the tailored deployment of best practice project controls
- Experience of Project financial and contractual management
Desirable
- Project management experience with Repairs and Spares
- Experience within Commercial aerospace.
- Experience of leading a range of different project types – Design & Manufacture, Service & Support, Transformation etc
- IPMA and/or other relevant professional Project Management qualifications appropriate to grade
- MBA
