What you'll be doing:

This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract and is open to entry level candidates

As a Finance Assistant you will follow the company’s financial guidelines to produce clear and timely financial reports for both management and official accounting purposes. Handle, monitor, and record financial transactions while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Plan and organise own workload responsibilities appropriately to satisfy deadlines, workflow and output requirements.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations, on a daily basis, in line with controls and procedures, escalation any variances/anomalies to line manager.
  • Prepare monthly control account reconciliations and monthly risk surveys.
  • Support where required, the Finance Technicians.
  • Assist the team in providing analysis to support projects and other ad hoc finance information requests.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous finance experience, including bank reconciliations, online banking, transactional postings is desirable but not essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Intermediate skill in Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining quality
