Our client is afamily run business in Turners Hill, West Sussex, who have been established for 35 years - they are looking for an experienced Retail Manager with a passion and drive to join their friendly team, who will thrive in this fast-paced retail business.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
Location: Turners Hill, West Sussex - due to the location, your own transport is essential
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm (Summer)/5.30pm (Winter), Sundays 10am to 4.30pm
Working week: 2 week rota (Week 1: 4 weekdays /Week 2: 4 week days, Saturday & Sunday)

What will your working week involve?
- Supporting the successful and smooth running of the day to day operations of the business, communicating with the Owner, Area Managers and office staff
- Managing a small team
- Manage stock levels (ordering, stocktakes)
- Manage EPOS computer system and internal/external data systems
- Manage animal welfare (licensing, animal husbandry, Tropical livestock sales and fish keeping.)
- Recruitment of staff
- Maintaining high standards on site in all areas including but not limited to store presentation, overstock areas and gardens
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and latest legislations
- Ensure team is delivering an exemplary standard of customer service
Do you have the skills and attributes required?
- Strong Retail Store management experience
- Aquatic experience preferred
- Ability to work to sales targets
- Passionate about the product range and willing to learn technical details
- Self-motivated and passionate about customer service
- Be able to show a high level of organisation and strong leadership skills
- Good IT skills to include Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure
