Job Description for a Cover Supervisor:
This Secondary school and I have been working very closely and they are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of students' learning in the absence of their regular teacher. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and are looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities for a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task with the work set by the teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Support students in understanding and completing the work provided.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other cover supervisors to ensure smooth lesson transitions.
- Provide feedback to teachers about the progress and behavior of students during their absence.
- Assist with other duties as required by the school, such as exam invigilation or supporting small group work.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
