SENDCO Required for June 2025 - Maternity Cover

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCO to join their team on a temporary basis due to maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking and innovative school that values the contributions of its staff. While this role is temporary, the successful candidate will enjoy the same professional development opportunities and additional release time as permanent members of staff when taking on additional responsibilities.

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled SENDCO to support the school community in ensuring high-quality provision for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will play a key role in developing SEN policies, collaborating with external agencies, and implementing inclusive classroom practices.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • National Award for SEN Coordination (SENDCO qualification)

  • Strong experience working with children with SEN

  • Prior experience working with external agencies to support SEN provision

  • Proven expertise in managing SEN policies and procedures

  • Experience in developing and implementing SEND-adapted classroom strategies

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, parents, and pupils
