Supply Chain ManagerWest Sussex£55,000 + car allowance, bonus and benefitsOverview:Our client is a leading privately owned business supplying equipment and services into industry. They are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to play a crucial role in managing and optimising the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. The role will have responsibility for overseeing the entire supply chain including sourcing and procurement and collaborating with warehousing and logistics teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of end to end supply chain management, overseeing the entire supply chain process from sourcing products to ensuring that suppliers meet stock management and customer needs.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain and drive OTIF performance.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high quality products on time and in full.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with broader goals and objectives.
  • Review category ranges and advise on consolidation strategies.
  • Lead the supply side of new product innovation working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure continuous improvement and value engineering of the product range.

Person Specification:

  • Degree qualified in supply chain management, business administration or similar.
  • Experience gained in a fast-paced supply chain role preferably in an industrial or construction equipment consumables or similar environment.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, procurement and inventory management.
  • Possess previous experience in importing new product lines from Asian supply partners.
  • Well-developed skills in managing large SKU numbers and driving OTIF performance levels.
  • Having a strong familiarity with supply chain software, data analytics and automation tools would be advantageous.
