Ocean Freight Coordinator - Export and Cross Trade
Location: Basildon, UK
Salary: 27,000 - 33,000pa (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am-5:30pm
Are you an experience Ocean Freight Forwarder, looking for a new opportunity to grow and develop with an establish and highly regarded Freight Forwarder? Then this role could be for you!
My client is looking for an experienced Ocean Operations Coordinator to join their team based in Basildon. The right candidate will have experience dealing with Ocean/Sea Freight operations, ideally with experience dealing with exports and cross trade operations. Previous experience with Air Freight would also be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day Ocean/Sea Freight operations, start-to-finish.
- Handling Export and Cross-Trade Consignments.
- Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.
- Extensive supplier and client liaison and negotiation.
- Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service information.
- Managing the jobs from quotation stage to final invoicing in line with the client expectations and communicating effectively any service issues.
- Proactively contacting the existing clients to maximise business potential.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Sea Freight Operations.
- Previous experience with Export and Cross-Trade Experience.
- Previous Air Freight Experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience using Destin8 would be advantageous.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Excellent customer service.
- Good verbal and written communication.
