Exciting Opportunity for an Accounts Assistant!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are thrilled to support a local organisation in Crewe as they seek an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £27,000, with a raise to £28,000 after probation.
Your Role:As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a vital role in maintaining financial records and ensuring smooth operations.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Purchase Ledger: Processing approximately 60-70 purchase invoices monthly with precision and efficiency.
- Sales Ledger: Raising invoices, issuing statements, creating credit notes, and adding sales invoices to the Sage 50 system.
- Credit Control: Chasing outstanding debt through telephone, email, and letter to ensure timely payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Petty Cash Processing: Managing and reconciling petty cash transactions.
- Sub-contractor Invoices: Matching and reconciling invoices against our internal systems.
- Ad-hoc Finance Admin: Supporting the team with various administrative tasks as needed.
What We're Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Previous experience in a Credit Control or Purchase Ledger role.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- A methodical and numerically-minded approach to tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently when required.
