Quest Employment are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to work with one of our fantastic clients in the ST4 area. This role is ideal for someone who is AAT qualified and has solid experience using Microsoft Excel to support day-to-day financial operations. Youll be a key part of the team, helping to ensure our client's financial processes run smoothly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and credit card reconciliations
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Liaise with suppliers and resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Use Excel to manage data analysis and reporting tasks
  • Assist with VAT returns and other statutory submissions
  • Support audit preparation and provide necessary documentation

Requirements

  • AAT qualified (Level 3 or above preferred)
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
