About the Role:
We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join our clients team in Crewe! As a Design Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and meet all necessary standards and regulations. You’ll be preparing designs, conducting site inspections, and overseeing the work of their talented technicians. Your role will also include producing detailed drawings and reports, managing project timelines, and ensuring that every aspect of the design meets British and European Standards. You'll get to play a key part in every step of the design process, from brainstorming to completion.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Stick to Business and Integrated Management Systems and suggest improvements whenever you see the opportunity.
  • Step into roles like Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) and project manager when needed to keep things on track.
  • Produce essential project documentation, including drawings, risk assessments, technical reports, and more.
  • Conduct site inspections, surveys, and design reviews to make sure everything meets the required standards and is safe.
  • Keep an eye on project progress, manage budgets, and ensure we hit deadlines.
  • Handle technical queries, collaborate with other teams and external partners, and keep the communication flowing.
  • Mentor and guide the team, helping them grow and learn while creating a positive and productive work environment.
  • Focus on sustainability, safety, and innovation in all our projects, and lead the charge on "Safe by Design" initiatives.
  • Represent the company at client meetings and events, and compile project closeout reports and lessons learned.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us:
By joining our client, you’ll be part of a company that values your input and offers plenty of opportunities to grow and develop. You’ll get to work on exciting projects, be part of a supportive team, and help drive innovation in everything theydo.

If you’re a proactive engineer with a passion for design and project management, we’d love to hear from you!
