Job Title:CNC Miller ProgrammerSetter Operator

Shift:Day shift, 40hours per week, Monday to Friday8am - 4:30pm

Rate:17.50- 18.50 p/h

Holidays: 26 days + Bank holidays

We are looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to take responsibility for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls. You will be expected to produce high-precision components, interpret technical drawings, and ensure high-quality standards are met at all stages of production.

The Job

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines withFanuc controlsto produce high-precision parts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to program the CNC machines effectively.
  • Perform tool changes, adjustments, and machine setup to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
  • Identify and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as aCNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience withFanuc controls.
  • Proficient in CNC programming, setting, and operation (manual programming and/or CAD/CAM systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to work to tight tolerances.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Experience with tool setting and calibration.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and basic repair.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification or apprenticeship in machining or engineering is advantageous.
