Location: Crewe, 4 days per week on site required

About the Role: Adecco working in partnership with Bentley Motors are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sustainability and Decarbonisation Project Leader to join our team. This role will serve as a focal point within our Procurement function, focusing on reducing CO2 emissions through material selection and leading the decarbonisation of our supply base.

As the project leader, you will work closely with our Brand Group leads to understand and enhance their "Chain of Custody" processes. Your goal will be to seamlessly integrate these processes into our current sourcing strategies while adapting training programs to deliver impactful training sessions both within the procurement team and to our strategic suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to reduce CO2 emissions through sustainable material selection and decarbonisation strategies.
  • Work alongside Brand Group leads to develop and integrate their "Chain of Custody" processes into procurement practices.
  • Deliver training modules to procurement teams and strategic suppliers on sustainability, decarbonisation, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainability initiatives are effectively implemented and monitored.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on sustainability and decarbonisation within the procurement function.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of sustainability processes and relevant legislation, including:
  • ISO14001
  • Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)
  • LkSG (German Supply Chain Act)
  • EC Directive 2000/53EC (End of Life Vehicles)
  • ZEV Mandate UK (Zero Emission Vehicle)
  • EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation)
  • Proven experience in driving sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives in a procurement or supply chain environment.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders across various departments.
