Join a dynamic, forward-thinking brand recognised as a leader in innovation within the FMCG sector. Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to drive compliance, improve safety procedures, and champion sustainable practices across their Crewe site.

About the RoleReporting to the Logistics Director, you will lead efforts to ensure adherence to UK and global EHS regulations, while continuously improving processes to maintain high standards. Your expertise will play a key role in promoting best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with UK and global EHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective risk assessment procedures, ensuring maintenance and repair activities adhere to best safety practices.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives, including waste management and pollution prevention, while promoting compliance with environmental management standards.
  • Enhance reporting processes to ensure accurate, timely compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Regularly review site H&S responsibilities, providing guidance to staff and management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification or relevant professional certifications with proven management experience.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essential.
  • IEMA Certificate and membership of IOSH or a similar professional body required.
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing EHS procedures, ideally with machinery, workplace transport, and chemicals.
  • Strong background in risk assessment, accident prevention, and incident investigation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
