People Operations Leader (HR Business Partner/HR Manager)
This is a great contract role that could develop into a permanent position. This can be remote or based on-site if preferred, with office locations in Manchester, Crew or Hull. There is an expectation that the successful contractor attends site meetings in the North of England area as needed.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources management or a related field or equivalent HR qualification as appropriate
- Hands on experience as a HR Generalist or HR Manager, with an emphasis on People Operations in Manufacturing or Logistics.
- Expert knowledge of HR Laws and regulations
- Strong experience in all HR processes, including:
- High volume employee relations case management (complex cases)
- Handling disciplinary and grievance matters
- Advising on employment law and employment tribunal processes
- Extensive experience working with Unions, particularly GMB for HGV drivers
- Ability to negotiate with unions on pay matters and T&Cs changes
- Attendance at committee meetings
- Capacity to provide coaching and support to team members on union matters
We are looking for candidates who can effectively manage HR operations and navigate the complexities of employment law and union interactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in high-volume case management and be adept at providing guidance on a variety of HR issues.
Rate: £21.50-22.50 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Inside IR35
Package: Holiday, Pension and Discounts portal
Location: Offices located in Manchester, Crewe or Hull.
Hybred: Yes - As long as commutable to the office when needed.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: 12 months initially, with the potential for the role to become permanent in the long term (TBC).
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
