Overview of a People Operation Leader

Our client is looking for a People Operation's Leader with previous HR Business Partner or HR Manager experience. The main HR office is in the North of England and would be the ideal location. There is however, flexibility to work fully remote with requirement to attend business meetings on site for which travel costs can be expensed. The People Operations Leader, reporting to the HR Regional Manager, resolves HR query escalations, leads employee relations and supports managers in executing talent action plans. Collaborating with COEs and HRBPs, they play a critical role in enhancing the employee experience and communicating HR programs and policies.

Responsibilities of a People Operation Leader

  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for HR policies and employee lifecycle processes in supported countries.
  • Manage complex People Operations casework, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, and organisational restructuring.
  • Address workplace complaints and escalate issues to relevant corporate groups when necessary.
  • Respond to complex HR questions from managers and employees, providing accurate guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Develop and utilize HR tools, support talent-related actions, and manage union or works council activities, ensuring fair and consistent discipline.
