Job Title: Solutions Architect

Location: Crewe, 3 days per week onsite

Remuneration: Competitive salary and benefits package

Contract Details:

- Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

- Contract Length: 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of IT solution architecture strategy/roadmap and support the implementation of new IT services, technology, projects, and system-based solutions
  • Make design decisions on existing solutions and contribute to the vision for the next generation of solutions
  • Control complexity and cost of IT within the business
  • Orchestrate a logical relationship between business, data, application, and technical aspects of the architecture
  • Ensure adherence to architecture principles and standards
  • Develop high/mid-level solution blueprints for project implementation
  • Maximise reuse of existing solutions
  • Chair architecture review boards and ensure compliance with architecture and portfolio processes
  • Maintain architectural documentation and associated standards
  • Ensure compliance with IT delivery processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end solutions meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Provide cost and risk information to project managers
  • Collaborate with various teams to create architectural solutions that support projects
  • Manage requirements for architecture standards within the business
  • Challenge and improve the existing IT technology portfolio
  • Foster communication and collaboration on Proof of Technology/Proof of Concept
  • Ensure solutions align with industry standards and VW's set of standards

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a highly technical/consulting environment, coordinating and developing technology solutions
  • Integration of new solutions into existing solution architectures
  • Ability to work under tight project deadlines and assist in achieving approval gateways
  • Understanding of existing and future IT solutions and trends
  • Ability to coordinate, design, and integrate IT products to deliver holistic solutions
  • Experience in generating and maintaining architectural documentation
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management Database (where applicable)
