Your new companyYour new company is an established public-sector organisation with a great reputation. Due to an exciting new construction project, they are looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to manage all aspects of expenditure and sourcing activity on this unique project. It's a genuinely exciting time to be joining this organisation.Your new roleThe Procurement Lead / Procurement Manager will be responsible for all procurement activity across the new build programme, ensuring compliance with relevant procurement legislation. You will devise and implement an effective procurement strategy and will conduct detailed research into the market to ensure a selection of appropriate suppliers which are cost-effective and deliver value for money.As the Procurement Lead, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as managing spend across various category areas, including construction, professional services, subcontractors and facilities management - giving you great exposure to a broad array of categories.Within each procurement process, you will ensure that social value is at the heart of the tender process; this will enable the successful delivery of the programme. Please note that this role offers hybrid working, with 3 days WFH per week after an initial settling in and onboarding period.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you will bring the following:

  • A strong public-sector procurement background with experience of PCR2015 / OJEU processes
  • Familiarity with the upcoming changes surrounding the Procurement Act 2023
  • Experience in leading on end-to-end tender processes
  • Commercially astute
  • MCIPS qualified (or currently studying towards CIPS qualification)
