Health / Safety & Quality Co-ordinator

Up to £31,000 per annum dependent on experience

Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Crewkerne, and are currently seeking a Health Safety & Quality Co-ordinator to join the team.

This is a crucial role in implementing and maintaining the quality, safety, health, and environmental systems through compliance and training. As the company continues to grow, they are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of their employees while maintaining the highest quality standards for their products.

As a Health Safety & Quality Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include carrying out audits, implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines, and delivering training programmes to our employees. You will also be responsible for investigating any accidents or incidents that may occur and making recommendations to prevent future occurrences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

- Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

- Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents and make recommendations for improvement.

- Deliver training programmes to employees on health, safety, and quality procedures.

- Collaborate with different departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Monitor and analyse data to identify any potential risks and take preventive measures.

- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure our company is in compliance.

Requirements:

- Prior experience working in a health, safety, and quality role within a manufacturing company is preferred.

- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.

- Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential risks.

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

- NEBOSH or IOSH certifications are desired but not required.
