The Recruitment Co. are delighted to be recruiting a Chef on behalf of our client based in Crieff!! Location: CrieffPay: £15.50 per hour, weekend work paid at time and a half.Contract: Temporary (4 to 6 weeks)Shifts: 8:30am to 5pm, ranging between 3 to 4 shifts per week, including weekend work.
**Assignment to start on 8th April**
Your duties as a Chef will include…
- Prepare and cook meals according to a pre-planned, set menu sheet.
- Follow dietary requirements, preferences, and restrictions of residents.
- Maintain food hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen inventory and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with the care team to address any specific needs of residents.
- Ensure that all meals are served on time and in an appealing presentation.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness, including sanitization and stock rotation.
What our client is looking for in a Chef…
- Experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally within a care home or similar setting.
- Ability to follow a set menu sheet and prepare meals consistently.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements/needs.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- A compassionate and patient attitude with a focus on delivering excellent service to residents.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Candidates must be PVG/Disclosure checked due to the nature of work.
