Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with financial accounting standards.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Utilise accounting software such as Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, and QuickBooks for efficient record-keeping.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff members and assist in their professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices within the financial services sector.
Experience
- Proven experience in an accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and financial management.
- Experience of the property industry and advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, and QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is advantageous.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
