Our client is looking for a motivated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join their 5-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home in Croydon. If you are an experienced professional with a passion for supporting young people, this could be the perfect role for you.

Shift Pattern:Flexible to cover a variety of shifts including early shifts, late shifts, long days, and sleep-ins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Support, lead, and supervise a team of residential support workers.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in your care.
  • Lead by example during shifts, ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a children's residential setting.
  • Relevant qualification in childcare (Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and EBD care standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • Full UK driving license.
