We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Complaints Officer on behalf of our Local Authority client to join their Housing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Investigating, resolving, and responding to complaints at Stage 1 and 2 of the Corporate complaints procedure, with a particular focus on responsive repairs.
  • Coordinating and responding to Freedom of Information requests, Data Protection enquiries and complaints, Press enquiries, and Red File cases as they relate to the service.
  • Handling complaints and enquiries that come through the offices of the Leader of the Council, Chief Executive, Council Executive Directors and Directors, or other Heads of Service.
  • Coordinating and responding to cases referred to the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) and enquiries from Members of Parliament and Elected Members of the Council.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in handling Repairs Complaints is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
