Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Home-based with travel to Croydon and throughout the UK & Ireland

Salary Range: £55k - £70k (dependent on experience)

Are you an After Market Sales Representative with a strong technical and commercial background in the commercial vehicle sector? Are you looking for a forward thinking, innovative team to be part of? Read on for further details of an exciting opportunity for a growing business:

Day to day role:

  • Reporting to the Head of Commercial Vehicles your role will be to drive parts and service sales to the bus sector 
  • Support and maintain relationships with OEMs and bus operators to develop all potential opportunities.
  • Prioritise and plan regular customer sales visits to promote service and the aftermarket business.
  • Prepare quotations for customers as required and develop market awareness to generate new and aftermarket sales opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s risk management procedures and provide prompt and clear responses to customer queries and requests.
  • Assist with new business sales development as directed by the Head of Commercial Vehicles.
  • Provide and maintain a monthly summary of all customer visits and planned monthly visits.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows and customer events.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrable commercial experience and proven results in a manufacturing or sales role.
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a business-related subject, or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Customer-facing experience is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and adept at building customer relationships.
  • Technical background with knowledge of the commercial vehicle sector, especially the bus market.
