Reeson Education is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon. This full-time position, starting in September, will involve working with Year 4 students, providing essential support to ensure their academic and social success.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, offering support to students individually and in small groups.
  • Student Development: Help create a positive learning environment that supports the academic and social development of Year 4 students.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare teaching materials and resources, ensuring all students have the necessary tools for learning.
  • Behaviour Management: Support the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour, fostering a respectful and orderly environment.
  • Inclusive Practice: Promote an inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and supported, and help differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assist in assessing student progress, providing feedback to the teacher, and helping to adjust instructional strategies as needed.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with primary-aged children, is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and support classroom activities effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team, contributing to a supportive and cohesive learning environment.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of all students.
