Our client, a leading wholesale food manufacturer supplying over 40 restaurant groups across the UK, are seeking a Technical Assistant to join the growing business.
Description
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Monitor and maintain HACCP systems and CCP records.
- Implement and verify quality standards across production.
- Prepare for third-party audits (BRCGS, SALSA) and customer inspections.
- Ensure documentation meets UK food safety regulations.
- Manage non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Assist in developing product specifications, technical documentation, and labelling compliance.
- Provide support for new product development trials.
Profile
- Food related degree
- Strong attention to detail and organisation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and UK/EU food safety regulations.
- Understanding of UK/EU food safety standards, labelling regulations, and certifications (BRCGS, SALSA).
