Job Title: Estates & Environment Services Team Manager

Hours: 36 hours a week, 3 months with the possibility of extension

Salary: PAYE £25.69hr/Umbrella £34.24

Location: Croydon ( 4 days on site, 1 day WFM)

Join our client's Estates and Environmental Services Team as the Team Manager and make a positive impact on our community! As a dedicated and customer-focused professional, you will lead and motivate a team of caretakers and bulk refuse drivers/loaders to provide exceptional estates and environmental maintenance services.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate managers and their teams to deliver consistent and high-quality services.
  • Embed a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation related to caretaking, environmental cleanliness, and resident well-being.
  • Promote equality and diversity in staff management and service delivery.
  • Oversee common, minor, and communal repairs.
  • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Collaborate with other teams, partners, and stakeholders such as repairs, tenancy teams, community safety, police, and ground maintenance.
  • Lead and manage a team of caretakers, including training and performance management.
  • Attend evening meetings (limited weekend working) and possess a valid driving licence.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in estates and environmental maintenance.
  • Proven ability to provide safe and comfortable homes and estates.
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, experience leading a team of ground maintenance/caretakers
  • A valid driving licence.
