Our client, a prominent player in the highway sector, is seeking a diligent and experienced General Foreman to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of groundwork projects, with a particular emphasis on highway maintenance and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site groundwork activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Help assist with site preparation, site setup and equipment
- Assist and manage roadworks being completed by heavy equipment and machinery
- Travel to site to help assist and manage works being delivered within
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Problem-solve on-site issues and provide leadership to the team
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway construction and maintenance
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in managing and operating construction equipment
- An understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to travel to various site locations
