We’re looking for a Director of Restructuring and Insolvency (R & I). This is an important, strategic position within the Pension Protection Fund where you’ll lead the R & I team to ensure best outcomes, developing policies, and management of complex restructuring and insolvency cases.

The role involves significant cross-team collaboration with teams such as Investment, Risk, Legal and Compliance. You’ll be hands-on to ensure other team members perform consistently and reach their potential. Cases are assessed with fixed parameters of discretion for both pre insolvency and post insolvency.

We expect candidates to have Director / Partner-level experience, most likely from a major financial services institution or restructuring & insolvency practice. You’ll be a leading expert in the Restructuring & Insolvency field; typically acting as the main point of contact to succeed in dealing with legal documentation and considerations relating to banking / security; and how these interact with pensions / pension law. You’ll be an influential leader with sophisticated negotiating and stakeholder management skills, underpinned by exceptional business / commercial acumen.
