About the Role:

As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, quality assurance, and quality control across our operations. You'll lead and support a dedicated team while working closely with key stakeholders and customers to maintain our reputation for excellence. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation, while driving continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Hygiene, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams, ensuring all operations meet the required food safety and quality standards.
  • Oversee and support the implementation of BRCGS audits, internal audits, and compliance with BRCGS Version 9.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant food industry legislation and regulations.
  • Foster strong customer-facing relationships and support customer requirements related to quality and safety.
  • Maintain a robust system for managing and resolving technical issues related to food safety, quality, and hygiene.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and proactively address areas of potential risk.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to achieve business goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

About You:

  • You will have a food science-related degree and relevant experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong experience with BRCGS audits, both external and internal, and solid understanding of BRCGS Version 9.
  • In-depth knowledge of food industry legislation and the ability to apply it within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in high care or high-risk food production is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
