Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum plus Civil Service Pension

Contract Type: Permanent

Position type: Full Time

We’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. When these schemes fail, we’re ready to help.

We do this by paying our members, by charging a levy and by investing sustainably. Our work has a real impact on people’s lives, so we strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind.

We’re going through a period of change, and we are looking for a HR Business Partner to join and support the business through this transition. This will include supporting our C-Suite.

Reporting to the Head of HR, the Business Partner will work in assigned business areas to provide day to day guidance, advice, coaching and hands-on support for managers on all aspects of the employee life cycle.

This is a hands-on operational business partnering role and will support the Head of HR and Head of OD in delivering elements of people plans. Typical responsibilities include working with recruitment partners to identify resourcing needs and emerging talent, supporting the business with the cyclical people activities, employee relations and building long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, i.e. Senior Leadership teams. Additionally, we’ll have a flexible approach to situations that are not solely governed by policy and process.

Our ideal applicant will be CIPD qualified, with comprehensive generalist HR experience including employee relations experience. It is important that the successful applicant has adept communication and stakeholder management skills in order to obtain favourable business outcomes, they must be able to demonstrate an understanding of current employment law (and best practice) as well as a logical, rational and flexible approach to situations, enabling optimal solutions to be achieved. If you have any experience in producing monthly and/or quarterly MI Reporting, this would be seen beneficial but not essential.

Sound like you? Apply now.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career.

We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training.

Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is around 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras.

We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, the highest accreditation under the Disability Confident Scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role you will be guaranteed an interview.

We embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working. Whatever your background, and however you identify, you’ll be welcome here.

We’re happy to talk about flexible working
