Are you a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting primary aged students?
An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Teacher to join a primary-aged alternative provision in Wallington, where you'll play a crucial role in helping students reach their full potential. This School caters for children with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties ensuring to provide the children with a varied curriculum and enrichment programme.
This permanent opportunity is will be a very rewarding role with opportunities to progress starting January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver personalized lessons that cater to the unique needs and abilities of secondary school students with special educational needs.
Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) while collaborating with support staff and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages personal growth, emotional well-being, and academic achievement.
Carefully track and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reports to inform future interventions and support strategies.
Utilize effective behaviour management techniques, de-escalation strategies, and positive reinforcement approaches to create a harmonious and productive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of teaching secondary school students with special educational needs.
Strong understanding of the requirements of SEN education, adaptable teaching methods, and a commitment to individualized instruction.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a collaborative mindset when working within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a deep passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of secondary school students with SEN.
Familiarity with relevant policies, procedures, and legislations pertaining to special education.
