Primary School Teacher Job Description:

A large, inclusive 4-form entry primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

Primary School Teacher Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum.
Support and cater to a diverse group of learners, including those with high Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Collaborate with SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and other staff to create individualised learning plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to support the development of all pupils.
Regularly assess pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet varying learning needs.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and any concerns.

Primary School Teacher Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
Experience working with children with SEN.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with a large teaching team in a busy school environment.
