Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on a range of water projects across the Thames Valley area. This role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work with a Tier 1 construction company contracted by Thames Water. The position is office-based in South London with occasional site visits as required.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in managing costs, contracts, and procurement for multiple water infrastructure projects. You will be working closely with senior commercial staff to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with contractual obligations.

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, valuations, and financial reports.
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Work closely with project teams to manage costs and mitigate financial risks.
• Assist in procurement, subcontractor management, and payment approvals.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.

• Previous experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Experience in the water sector is desirable but not essential.
• Former employment with Tier 1 contractors is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
