Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Fitter to join our skilled team. As an MET Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical components, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical fitting, assembly, and maintenance on various machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure precise fitting of parts.
• Inspect and test mechanical and electrical systems to identify defects or areas for improvement.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including parts used and time spent.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs in the workshop and on-site when required.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an MET Fitter or in a similar role, preferably with new cars, air con, alignment, interior and exterior trim.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fitting skills with the ability to work with a range of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good understanding of safety standards and best practices in the field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or engineering disciplines are highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits

• 08:00-18:00 Monday-Friday, overtime available!
