Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a knack for understanding and supporting individuals with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Learning Support Assistants to join an Outstanding school in Croydon. As a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping young people aged 5 to 18 achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
  • Participate in school activities and events

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally within an SEMH setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work are desirable but not essential
