We are seeking a dedicated Service Manager to oversee our mental health supported living facility in Croydon, which comprises 12 units. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to residents with various mental health conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the supported living service, ensuring all care standards and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversee a team of support staff, providing leadership, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, promoting independence and personal growth.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external agencies to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the efficient operation of the service.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor the quality of care provided and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure the physical environment of the facility is maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and welcoming space for residents.
  • Handle any incidents or emergencies with professionalism and in accordance with established protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar leadership role in mental health or supported living settings.
  • Qualification in Health and Social Care, Nursing, or a related field, ideally at a degree level.
  • Strong understanding of the mental health sector and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to develop and oversee effective care plans and interventions.
  • Strong organisational and budget management skills.
