About you and the Role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Care Service Manager. This role will oversee the day-to-day field care management. Responsibilities will include overseeing the daily Care service, conducting new client assessments and reviews, completing risk assessments and care plans and addressing customer concerns.
You will play a critical role to ensure that clients of Draycott Nursing & Care receive the highest standards of care in the comfort of their own homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, dignity, and well-being at all times. To support client facing activity including field complaints, quality checks, audits, kit reviews, care plan and risk assessment updates – and delegated activity by the clinical team. To support our Quality Improvement plans and Support mobilisation or client retention, ensuring the care package is meeting client needs.
You will play an important role in supporting the Field Care Supervisor to carry out their carer-facing activity, including coaching, competency assessments, supervisions.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring Draycott Nursing & Care delivers safe, effective, and personalized care that meets each client's unique needs and preferences.
- Promoting the dignity, privacy, and independence of clients while delivering care services that reflect the values of Draycott Nursing & Care.
- Conduct Assessments: Lead Comprehensive initial assessments with clients (and/or their representatives) to understand their care needs, preferences, and goals, along with carrying out thorough risk assessments.
- Inform and Educate Clients: Provide clear and accessible information to clients and their families about the care services they will receive, so they fully understand the process and know how to raise concerns if needed.
- Ensure Confidentiality: Safeguard all client information, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained in accordance with data protection laws and Draycott policies.
- Work closely with Care Coordinators to assign care assistants to clients based on compatibility and care requirements.
- Emergency Support: Participate in the on-call emergency rota, Ensure all emergency calls are properly recorded and communicated to the relevant parties.
- Quality Reviews: Regularly review care services delivered to clients, ensuring compliance with Draycott’s protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure care is delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements, including the Mental Capacity Act (2005) for England and Wales.
- Monitor and respond to client Early Warning System (EWS) alerts.
- Monitor and respond to EMAR alerts.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Work closely with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues within Draycott Nursing & Care to provide seamless and integrated homecare services.
- Team Leadership: Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions around client care, staff development, and operational improvements.
- Training and Development: Play an active role in staff shadowing, supervision and appraisal, referring field staff for update training, and fostering a learning environment within Draycott Nursing & Care.
- Work Flexibly: Adapt to the changing needs of the business and clients by working flexibly, including outside regular hours when required, to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Care Level 3
- Ideally NVQ Care Level 4 or working towards
- Train the trainer qualification desirable
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience in providing care services and supporting individuals with their daily living needs
- Experience supervising the delivery of social care services, including managing live-in-care assignments
- Desired experience as a Field care supervisor or Care Assessor
- Experience with risk assessment and personalised care planning.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to write clear, concise care plans, risk assessment, and maintain accurate records
- Proven ability to manage a team, offering guidance training and constructive feedback to maintain a high standard of care
- Computer literate with the ability to manage administrative duties efficiently, knowledge of care management software and field compliance
