Supported Housing Manager – up to £50k plus generous holiday allowance and other benefits – Croydon

The Role

Do you have a proven track record in managing supported housing or mental health services? Are you ready to lead a team and make a lasting impact on people’s lives?

We’re seeking a Supported Housing Manager to oversee our accommodation-based services, ensuring high-quality support for individuals with complex needs.

In this role, you will:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll oversee accommodation-based services, ensuring quality support for individuals with medium-to-high support needs. You’ll manage a team of Housing Officers, Care and Support Workers, and Concierges, working collaboratively to maintain a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring client progress and adjusting support plans where necessary.
  • Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, such as Mental Health professionals and Social Workers, to provide holistic care.
  • Leading and supporting your team through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure all schemes are clean, safe, and compliant with agreed standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, spot checks, and house meetings.
  • Manage budgets, petty cash, and expenditure prudently.
  • Address complaints and incidents effectively, maintaining detailed records.
  • Oversee staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover and smooth operations.

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in supported housing or the mental health sector.
  • Is skilled in managing teams, budgets, and operational planning.
  • Can work proactively, solve problems, and stay organised under pressure.
  • Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Is computer literate and familiar with CRM systems or similar databases.

A qualification in a therapeutic approach or knowledge of welfare benefits and housing rights is desirable.
