Position: 1:1 Support Assistant
Location: South Croydon
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised one-on-one support to a student with special educational needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring the student's comfort and dignity.
- Foster the student's social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Implement individualised learning plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
- Monitor and report on the student's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Personal care experience, including assisting with hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student well-being.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or personal care is a plus.
