SEN Teaching Assistant  needed for Supporting Students with Autism & PMLD (Ages 4-19) for a SEN School in Croydon

Are you motivated to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with special needs? We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school, working with students aged 4 to 19 with Autism (ASD) and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Location: Croydon
Age Group: 4-19 years
Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible
Hours : 9am to 3:30pm
Salary : £85 to £90 per day PAYE

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated support to students with Autism and PMLD in both group and individual settings.
  • Assist in delivering personalized education plans and engaging sensory-based activities.
  • Support students with personal care needs, including feeding and mobility support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage communication, independence, and social interaction skills.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience supporting students with Autism and/or PMLD is advantageous but not essential – training provided.
  • A compassionate and patient individual who thrives in a supportive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to assist with students’ physical and personal care needs.
