Location: Croydon
School: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary School
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Salary: £13 per hour (PAYE)
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Lunch Time Supervisors to join the team at an SEN Primary School in Croydon. This school caters to children aged 4 to 11 years old with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the students during lunchtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision: Oversee children during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Support: Assist children with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties with their lunch and any other needs they may have.
- Encouragement: Promote positive social interactions and help foster an inclusive and friendly atmosphere.
- First Aid: Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond calmly and effectively to any emergencies.
- Communication: Work closely with other staff members to ensure consistent support and communication regarding students' needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
- Understanding and patience in supporting children with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring and empathetic nature.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
