About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Lunch Time Supervisors to join the team at an SEN Primary School in Croydon. This school caters to children aged 4 to 11 years old with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the students during lunchtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision: Oversee children during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Support: Assist children with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties with their lunch and any other needs they may have.
  • Encouragement: Promote positive social interactions and help foster an inclusive and friendly atmosphere.
  • First Aid: Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond calmly and effectively to any emergencies.
  • Communication: Work closely with other staff members to ensure consistent support and communication regarding students' needs.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
  • Understanding and patience in supporting children with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and empathetic nature.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
