Job description:

Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding SENCO role in Croydon?

To lead learning at our primary school and guide staff in developing consistent practices in teaching, learning, and provision for SEN pupils, including vulnerable and looked-after children. The role involves ensuring high-quality learning opportunities, pastoral care, safeguarding, and behaviour management through effective inclusion practices, enabling all children to achieve the highest standards of attainment and success.

We are seeking an experienced SENCO to join our 'Outstanding' school in the London Borough of Croydon. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing a high standard of provision for learners with Special Educational Needs. You will play a key role in raising attainment and ensuring that SEN students are making sustainable progress.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience as a SENCO, preferably with children with ASC and other special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and annual reviews.
  • NASENCO qualification (desirable) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Excellent organizational skills for planning and monitoring SEND provision.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Passion for inclusive education and supporting young people to reach their potential.
