Remedy Tutors are looking for an outreach tutor or teacher to work with a number of children in and around the Croydon area. These children are not attending school full time and need additional educational support throughout the day.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality one-to-one tutoring sessions to students from 1 hour to 15 hours a week (depending on the needs of the student)
  • Be able to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students with diverse learning styles and needs
  • Create and implement personalised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student engagement and understanding
  • Assess and monitor student's progress daily, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback on a weekly basis
  • Work in partnership with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student's educational development

Requirements:

  • A preferred background of working with children with Special Educational Needs, and providing differentiated learning
  • Proficient in teaching core subjects and the SEN curriculum to students of various ability levels
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with students and establish a positive learning environment
  • QTS, PGCE are preferred although other educational qualifications are accepted, as long as there is a proven track record for delivering tuition in the UK
