This role will assist in the delivery of the capital programme through the procurement of additional/specialist suppliers to deliver works maintaining time, cost and qualityTo enable the London Borough of Croydon in delivering its Capital Programme by procuring and coordinating a range of professional and technical services for a homes and schools.* To lead on delivering the procurement of short-term suppliers for construction works for the Capital Delivery Service* Work closely with commissioning and procurement colleagues to adhere to council policies and procedure for procurement.* To lead on the development and presentation of all gateway and governance reports for boards and panels* To work closely with team and key stakeholders in developing tender packs and documentation for procurement* To prepare commissioning strategies, procurement strategies, and contract award reports and tender analysis reports* To provide professional expertise and direction on tendering and contracts matters* To prepare draft forms of contract for approval by legal and boards* Manage all related clarifications, complaints and queries escalating where necessary* To provide regular updates to the Head of Service for monitoring purposes and progress* Experience of the construction industry/Housing/Capital works* Good understanding of the bills of quantity and specifications* Ability to write specification for works incorporating all elements of technical standards, H&S requirements and other good practic

Be able to demonstrate industry experience

Must have local government/social housing experience

Experience of managing projects in a housing setting or similar

Experience of Tendering and Contracts or procurement field
