Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 36 hours

Role Purpose:

As a Senior Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing procurement/sub-category plans in assigned spend areas, designing and delivering procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies, and improving outcomes for our residents. You will also provide commercial input into the development of medium to higher risk/complex business cases and lead the end-to-end tender process for assigned procurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for high-value, high-risk, and complex procurements.
  • Lead the end-to-end tender process, ensuring compliance with standards and practices.
  • Provide commercial input into business case development and market analysis.
  • Design appropriate routes to market for effective competition and innovative procurement solutions.
  • Support compliance with procurement policies, procedures, systems, and governance.
  • Lead negotiations and manage key contracts, ensuring effective contract management and risk mitigation.
  • Promote social value and sustainability in procurement activities.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • CIPS Level 4 or equivalent experience, with a willingness to work towards MCIPS.
  • Relevant knowledge of public procurement legislation and policy.
  • Experience in leading multiple tendering exercises in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to inform decisions through market and spend analysis.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, change, and risks.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
