We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Health & Safety Manager to join our clients dynamic team. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving the Company's Health, Safety, and Welfare policies and systems across all sites. You will work closely with management and staff to ensure legislative compliance while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Company's Health, Safety, and Welfare policies and systems.

  • Work proactively with all staff and management to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety best practices throughout the business.

  • Provide coaching and practical support in areas such as risk assessments, accident/incident management, and auditing.

  • Maintain professional relationships with external agencies including the Health & Safety Executive, contractors, and insurers.

  • Deliver relevant training on Health & Safety topics to employees.

  • Assist in the development of "Safe Systems of Work" and ensure adherence to Company procedures.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring timely corrective action and compliance with RIDDOR reporting requirements.

Key Activities:

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, sampling, and audits as per Company Policy.

  • Coordinate the collection and review of safety audits and inspections across departments.

  • Monitor compliance with Health & Safety regulations and assist in applying them across all Company operations.

  • Manage incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management on all Health & Safety matters.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable, and will have a positive attitude. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence all levels of the business. You will ideally be qualified to at least NEBOSH Certificate level or equivalent, and will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications too. Having a strong understanding in auditing and investigating Health & Safety matters is also highly desirable.

The role may require occasional out-of-hours work to ensure all sites remain compliant with Health & Safety standards.
