Your new companyA job opportunity has arisen for a Network Support Analyst to join a highly established and rapidly expanding public sector organisation on a permanent basis. This role forms part of a team that support the design and implementation of the ICT Network Infrastructure including Security and extensive Wi-Fi estate. This role offers a great working environment and excellent scope for career progression.

Your new roleWorking as part of the ICT Network and Technical Services Team, you will provide support to ensure the integrity, security and availability of the telecommunications services that provide core clinical services. You will provide support for the Network Systems Team Leader in areas such as daily operations, monitoring and system housekeeping, as well as the management and maintenance of networking and security solutions. Furthermore, you will be involved in the installation, system configuration, monitoring and incident management of systems whilst interacting with a range of colleagues and customers. You will monitor the network Infrastructure in addition to analysing calls that are logged by end users and ICT colleagues to identify resolutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You should either be a recent graduate in a relevant subject or have proven Network Support experience
  • Experience working in an IT Support role in Telecommunications in a Network and Security environment
  • Knowledge of Routing and Switching
  • Technical knowledge of data network support, network topology and design
  • Technical knowledge of data networking and associated Infrastructure support systems for large environments
  • If you hold a relevant certification e.g. CompTIA, CCNA or ITIL v4 Foundation this would be an advantage although it is not essential
