Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical biasrequired for a well established manufacturer who are renowned and well respected in their industry. They are an employer who genuinely looks after their staff and invests in their people.
The role would suit maintenance engineers with a strong mechanical bias. Engineers who have experience working within a heavy manufacturing environment will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply. Engineers must be apprentice trained or equivalent in a mechanical discipline.
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for mechanical maintenance on a wide range of production and process machinery. Working to strict H&S guidelines, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance. You will also have involvement in mechanical improvement projects and CI activities. You will work within a large state of the art manufacturing facility which has a wide range of heavy production machinery. The facility also has a wide range of manufacturing processes, the successful engineer will benefit from a varied role. As part of your role, you will assist in the guidance and mentoring of mechanical apprentices on site.
