Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their service department, supporting the business vision of delivering world-class products and services. This role is crucial in maintaining accredited business and quality management processes, driving continuous improvement, and managing the end-to-end process for the return, upgrade, and repair of customer products.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Ensure Service lines are operational, perform immediate corrective actions, and collaborate with the Test team for permanent solutions.
  • Evaluate the Service layout and make recommendations based on headcount calculations.
  • Conduct timing assessments of each line to ensure accuracy and maintenance.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and validate first-off products in collaboration with Aftersales.
  • Analyse Service data to identify trends, initiate investigations, and document findings for the Service Manager and Aftersales team.
  • Assist service repair technicians with new fault investigations and ensure data accuracy through systematic checks.
  • Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and testing within the Service department.
  • Develop and update service instructions for product returns and maintain Work Instructions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Science, Engineering, or Manufacturing discipline.
  • Experience with PFMEA, DMAIC, and 6S methodologies.
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma qualification is preferred.
  • CAD experience is desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
