We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Lecturer in English to join our dynamic team. Day-to-day of the role:- Plan and develop engaging lessons, including the creation of comprehensive schemes of work.
- Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, focusing on providing constructive and developmental feedback to students.
- Monitor and report on the attendance, progress, and achievements of students, ensuring they meet their learning objectives.
- Maintain a safe working environment for both students and colleagues, enforcing health and safety standards and ensuring compliance.
- Provide personal coaching and pastoral care to designated students, supporting their development and future progression.
- Stay updated with industry developments in English to ensure the relevance and employability of our students.
- Actively participate in continuing professional development to enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge within the education sector.
- Hold a teaching qualification and have experience teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors.
- OR possess a Level 3 qualification in a subject relevant to English, with a willingness to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification as part of our Passport to Teaching programme.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
